|
|
Hi, all.
Just got my shiny "new" Ultra 2 and am compiling the kernel.
I got an error message something like:
Code: |
kernel/bound.c:1:error
-m64 not supported
-mlong-double-64 not allowed with -m64
-mcmodel=is not supported on 32bit systems |
Shame for me to get stuck now. Does anyone know what I need to change?
Cheers,
Chris. _________________ http://www.whylinuxisbetter.net/

This thread discusses the same issue and also has a solution. _________________ Black Holes are created when God divides by zero! |

Thanks.
I'm just doing
Code: | make CROSS_COMPILE=sparc64-unknown-linux-gnu- && make CROSS_COMPILE=sparc64-unknown-linux-gnu- image modules_install |
At the moment, it seems to be looking good. Do the Handbook maintainers need to be made aware of this?
Thanks,
Chris. _________________ http://www.whylinuxisbetter.net/ |

Cheers, Blu3bird. I couldn't open the URL because of a certificate problem. As long as it's in-hand, i'm happy.
Thanks,
