I wanted to do a cleanup and so I was going to run emerge --depclean
but I noticed that sys-kernel/gentoo-sources was in the list of things that were going to be cleaned out. Namely that I had downloaded the new version of the sources and it wanted to remove the old one. I have not installed or configured the kernel from the new version yet and don't plan to until later on. Is there any way that I can omit sys-kernel/gentoo-sources from the depclean? |

The easiest way would be to use emerge -n to add the slot corresponding to the version you want to keep to the world set.
Moved from Portage & Programming to Duplicate Threads, refer to topic "How to exclude a package from depclean [solved]". |
