Hi,
I think it would be great if portage had dependency checking when you do a --unmerge. That way, you can't unmerge something that is needed by your system. What do you guys think? |

i believe this has been mentioned before, but I agree with you. This would be a nice feature. It would also be handy if you were then presented with a list of packages that would be broken and given a chance to just unmerge them as well... (this would be a quick way to get rid of gnome or kde for instance). |

I might actually try gnome or kde if this was available. I just want to be able to track down all the crap they install with them.
