Hi there
I got my alsa sound working perfecly here, but midi don't works.

Code:
kuroiryu ~ # aplaymidi -l
 Port    Client name                      Port name
 16:0    SB Live [Unknown]                EMU10K1 MPU-401 (UART)
 17:0    Emu10k1 WaveTable                Emu10k1 Port 0
 17:1    Emu10k1 WaveTable                Emu10k1 Port 1
 17:2    Emu10k1 WaveTable                Emu10k1 Port 2
 17:3    Emu10k1 WaveTable                Emu10k1 Port 3
kuroiryu ~ #

I've tried with all these ports and I get no sound with "aplaymidi". I already checked alsamixer volumes too.

Any clue?

You *need* to load a soundfont, otherwise silence is produced.

This is what I used to use, with an Audigy 2:

if [[ -e /proc/asound/Audigy2/emu10k1 ]] ; then
asfxload -V100 /whereever-you-want/8mbgmsfx.sf2
fi

You'll find 8mbgmsfx.sf2 on your original CD that came with the soundcard. One of many alternatives:

I've already done that, but with CT4MGM.SF2. Does it MUST be with 8mbgmsfx.sf2?

EDIT#1: The problem was the volume. Using the flag "-V100" solved... thanks
