When I try to do my weekly "emerge -U world --deep" I got this:

Code:

bash-2.05b# emerge -Up world --deep
>>> --upgradeonly implies --update... adding --update to options.

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

(The iffy line is the one singled out)

I'm not sure of the inner workings of XFree, but I thought it relied on xft? Would I break X11 removing xft to install the new xfree base? Is this just some weird glitch? Please help 8O

I got the same thing the other day, and thought "what the heck" and did an emerge unmerge on it.

Im running a emerge -e world right now (170 packages to go), ill inform u what happened after I reboot :)

edit: oh and btw, I did an emerge -e world because of lots of messed up libraries, not because I unmerged xft.

Xft has been included in the xfree ebuild, so must not be compiled separately anymore. That's why xft shows the block.
Just unmerge it, emerge xfree directly afterwards (as it will not be complete anymore with the old xft removed) and all will be well.
