So I finally decided to try out the UT2004 beta. I download the 3334 version of the demo for linux and everything is going fine. However when I start up the game (at the menus) the mouse is for all intensive purposes useless. Whenever I move the mouse it snaps back to either the bottom or right edge most of the time. If I had to guess, it would seem the coordinates from the mouse are getting messed up in the application. I've never seen anything like this in another game or application. Does anyone have any idea as to what's going on? I've scoured the internet and couldn't find anybody with my problem to my surpise and dismay.
For what it's worth this is everything the demo prints.

Try:
export SDL_VIDEO_X11_DGAMOUSE=0
ut2004
If that fails, I would next try switching between the evdev and mouse driver, for the mouse hardware, in xorg.conf
The expression is, "for all intents and purposes". |

Thank you, your first suggestion works and thank you for correcting my grammar, I should have caught that.
If you don't mind me asking, are there any negative consequences for having to set this variable? _________________ ~AMD64 |
