ctrl-c does not terminate processes in gnome-terminal or xterm, but it does work outside of gnome in VT. ctrl-z also doesn't work in gnome.
The keyboard layout in gnome is set to default, USA layout, evdev-managed keyboard.
output of stty -a:

I can't seem to figure this out and it's very inconvenient to close the terminal or manually kill the PID when I need to stop a process... it also stops me from being able to disown a job propperly. Any thoughts? |

mask nvidia-drivers 180.35 - 180.29 or a manual version bump to 180.37 is the solution.
Also, dupe. _________________ iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAA
