*is noob* i was trying to do the install just based off of the readme that comes with madwifi. after i figured out "ifconfig ath0 up" it all worked
oh and im not sure why, i did try lspci, but i can't seem to find it. but 'cat /proc/pci' returns the same no?

I recommend you change the name of your post so that more people will look at it... most people don't look at 'oops' or 'i need help' posts.

well, sorry i didnt realize i put oops in the subject
i now have everything working except it seems that
all services that require net.* are failing

i am not sure how to set this up and have searched around just to get more confused

i have device ath0, but i wanna make it look like eth0,so /etc/init.d/net.eth0 can be brought online
and the rest of my services work.
i have messed around with doing aliases
but noting has seemed to work.

any help is appreciated
