Quake2 is a opensource app, why isnt there a ebuild for it in portage?
plus cfdisk, irssi or any irc client, plus lynx should be included on the gentoo install cd. |

Actually, BitchX and X-Chat are in portage. They're under net-im.

Why? You can always emerge them later; indeed, right after emerge system is done. That's how I installed irssi, which is not a very large download.
IRC clients aren't system-critical pieces of software, and they don't really belong on the CD, unless you're using a stage3 ISO. |

Actually, having some sort of messaging system (like an IRC client) might be helpful for real-time installation support... _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |
