So I recently upgraded xorg-server from 1.5.99.901 to 1.5.99.903 and now compiz fails to start.

I tried recompiling compiz-0.7.8, which didn't do it. I tried deleting local settings, didn't work. And then I upgraded to compiz-0.7.8-r2, didn't help.
Looks like when compiz fails it falls back to metacity. I have been running the same Intel 2.6.1 driver, and it loads everything, including AIGLX. Here is that log:

| I have a similar problem after updating the xserver, but I'm just getting a white screen after starting compiz. I'm using an intel gfx card too. |

Same here.
Unfortunately, i haven`t found any solution yet.
So I just returned to 902, and... compiz works fine, but xv video output in mplayer fails. |

| How did you go back a version? The ebuild doesn't exist anymore....did you just edit/make your own from 903? |
