my gcc (2.95.3) seems to be jacked up I get this error always:
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `as': No such file or directory
I've had this gentoo install working fine for more than a month, hmm.
Anybody seen this? |

as is the GNU assembler, which is part of binutils. You might want to check the directories in your path, make sure that it's really there.
Though, if it's -not- present, rebuilding it might be a bit difficult. The only alternatives I can think of are
(1) copy it from a stage2/3 ISO and rebuild if desired
(2) have somebody with a similar architecture as you send a copy
(3) re-bootstrap (least desirable alternative) |
