Question: Does 7.1 audio in Creative SB Audigy SE work ?

No problem here, just a question.

I want to know if any of You has Audigy SE soundcard with the newest ALSA (1.0.18a) and has checked if 7.1 surround audio works ?

I just wanted to know if i should buy it and finally get 7.1 audio to work under Linux on my new computer.

I would pass on it. The card you mention uses the ca016 driver, the driver has dmix/surround issues in that both can't be used at the same time. At least for my Audigy LS and a fair few other unfortunates posting gripes on the web.
