I just put together a laptop MS(1222) that uses a PCI-Express Mini Card ( MS-6877 ) that is a usb device. There is a driver in the kernel but it will not work. If you have it compiled into your current kernel you will need to remove it first. I would do a make clean before you make to make sure. Here are the steps I took to get it working, as root;
Code: |
cd /usr/src
wget http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/rt73-cvs-daily.tar.gz
tar xzvf rt73-*
cd rt73*
less README
cd Module/
make
make install
modprobe rt73
depmod -a
man iwconfig
|
I am using RutilT to connect but iwconfig works also. _________________ http://dev.gentoo.org/~dabbott/ |
