laptop built-in card reader

In my Centrino based laptop ( www.mitacservice.com model 8080) there is 4 in 1 built-in flash card reader.
Does anybody have experience with such a device and were able to get it work?
The device does not seem to be USB so I have no idea how to deal with it.
Any help will be appreciated.
