Hi all.
I've got a weird issue with Xorg radeon driver (aka xf86-video-ati-6.9.0). - When I start Xorg with an external monitor, both my laptop panel and the external monitor are black, i.e. there's no image displayed. Both monitors remain black even if I switch to a TTY console. All I can do is reboot my laptop -- the PC is not locked, just that the screens don't output anything.
EDIT: While logged in with a remote shell I noticed X eats 100% CPU. Killing X requires killall -9 X otherwise it doesn't exit. But even then, both screens remain all black. Can't do anything but poweroff using ACPI button.
- If I startx with the external monitor unplugged then plug it and configure for dual head manually with xrandr that works.
Here's my xorg.conf. I've written a common setup for both radeonhd and radeon drivers. I just need to change one line in the ServerLayout section to switch between both.

I don't have that issue with radeonhd driver. I've installed x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati-6.9.0, x11-drivers/xf86-video-radeonhd-1.2.3, x11-base/xorg-x11-7.4 and x11-base/xorg-server-1.5.2.
Any idea what's wrong? _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...
