Hello,

After a recent power failure, the system didn't appear to do a complete fsck of my disks (should it?).
Anyway, in order to be on the safe side, after I booted into the OS, I decided to force it to perform
fsck on my disks. I did a touch /forcefsck and rebooted. Then the strangest thing started happening.
Fsck checked my root partition, without finding anything wrong (the root partitions sits on a BIOS Raid
configuration). I also have a separate HDD for storage.

Fsck started checking the partition on this HDD and when it reached around 97 % it went back to 95%
and kept cycling between 95% and 97% forever. I decided to reset the computer and boot with a live cd.
Running fsck from the livecd found that the filesystem was fine. So once again I rebooted. This time I saw
the exact same behaviour (cycling between 95 and 97%) in my root partition.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
