Hello everyone,

I copied my gentoo over from one disk to another, keeping filepermissions and excluding proc, sys and dev. Someone told me that some node under dev are files and need to be copied to. But stupid me thought that this could be fixed by re-emerge baselayout with the live-cd.

I did (and reinstalled grub, etc), and my new system boots. But after the kernel loaded it complains about the frist console and then does not display any more output. SSH works, and I can work on the system, but I would like to fix /dev again.

Can anyone give me some help and tell me how to recreate dev?

Greetings
