running dmesg | less, I found some errors:
NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0.
ds: no socket drivers loaded!
cramfs: wrong magic
I am sure that I have enabled unix domain sockets under networking options.. is there somewhere else where i need to enable/disable something??
about the cramfs;
what is this, what does it do?
how do I get this working, or how do I disable it if it is nothing but an annoyance?
I found three posts when I searched for cramfs: wrong magic, but no solution, I figured to produce a new thread..
(off the wall: anyone using a S-ATA disk, and an onboard S-ATA controller that can present their results of hdparm -Tt /dev/hdx. would be interesting to see how fast they really are) _________________ PCs nearly always come with Microsoft Windows as their operating systems, but the "OS," as it is called, can be changed to a non-Microsoft operating system with a little work. |

Code: | NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0. |
that isn't an error.
Code: | ds: no socket drivers loaded! |
If you want a pc card to work, you must modprobe a socket driver. but this should be done automaticly by running /etc/init.d/pcmcia start
Code: | cramfs: wrong magic |
if you dont know what this is you dont need it, disable it in your kernel.
