Hi.
This is perhaps a faq, please point in that direction if so.
The setup I have is computer A get dynamic ip number on eth0. That works fine. now I wish to setup eth1 to be internal ip number and broadcast dhcp leases to computers on the internal network. How do I do that? |

At first you have to install a dhcp server on that machine. You could use "dhcp" (not so easy to setup) or "dnsmasq" (very easy to setup and includes a DNS cache).
Then you have to configure your server to only listen on that particular eth1 interface and set up the ip ranges. If no firewall rules restrict the access, that should be all. _________________ ...it's only Rock'n'Roll, but I like it! |
