Suggestions for a PCI WLAN card

I'm planning to go wireless at home. Which WLAN card is known to be well supported by linux? Maybe even by the default gentoo kernel? Suggestions please

ps: price and speed does not matter, I don't mind if it is 11 or 54 MBit/s.

I'm using a 3com PCI Wlan card based on the Prism2 chipsett. It's 11mbps, works like a dream with encryption and everything. Don't remember the exact model-number, but I guess it's sold for $100 +/- so it shouldn't be to hard to find.

Thanks for your input. Do you remember if it was supported by the gentoo installation kernel?
