What if I want to emerge, say, apache 1.3.28 instead of 2.0.47? How would I do that? |

You can specify the whole path to the ebuild you want. e.g. Code: | emerge /usr/portage/net-www/apache/apache-1.3.28.ebuild |
Moving to Portage & Programming from Installing Gentoo.

You can also explicitly specify the version like this:
Code: | emerge =apache-1.3.28 |
It's a little less typing than the other way |
