|
Hi,
I have a laptop with 1280x800 resolution and an external monitor that is capable of 1440x900 resolution, but it only shows 1280x800 with xrandr -q.
How do I set the external monitor resolution to 1440x900? Why doesn't it show up with xrandr -q?
This is the output for xrandr -q:
Code: | Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 2560 x 800, maximum 2720 x 2048
VGA connected 1280x800+1280+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 0mm
1280x800 60.0*
1280x768 60.0
1024x768 60.0
800x600 60.3
640x480 59.9
LVDS connected 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 261mm x 163mm
1280x800 59.9*+ 60.0
1280x768 60.0
1024x768 60.0
800x600 60.3
640x480 59.9
TV disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) |
and this is my xorg.conf: http://pastebin.com/m4a806dea
Thanks in advance. |

I guess that may be the "LeftOf" option in Monitor section of VGA cause this, try to comment it out. |
