|

I've had this problem for a while now. Whenever I 'emerge sync' and 'emerge -uDvp world' it wants me to upgrade to the latest gentoo-sources kernel. This is fine except that I don't use that kernel anymore and have unmerged all instances of it. I now use gs-sources and changed the /etc/make.profile/virtuals file to reflect that. However, every 'emerge sync' changes it back.
And, even worse, today it's saying the same thing but the virtuals file still has gs-sources in it. I can't find where it's getting gentoo-sources from.
What the ...? |

The only place in /var/cache/edb where gentoo-sources is mentioned is the mtimedb file but it's in a format I don't want to fool with. Plus, there's the dep directory. Is there a file somewhere explaining what's in the /var/cache/edb directory? |
