Well, KDE 3.0.2 was released a few days ago and a 3.1 snapshot wouldn't be useful imho at this time...And the alphas/betas etc. could be made available as ebuilds so the cvs snapshot only makes sense in the maintenance releases (my opinion) |

When Dan Armak announced the availability of KDE 3.0.1 20020604 (to the mailing lists), he also said (among the rest):
