The external backlight on my Acer 1524 laptop has broken and before my new LCD Inverter arrives (fairly sure this is the problem) I'd like to use an external monitor - however the Fn F5 Hotkey doesn't work :cry: . Are there any workarounds?

After the totally underwhelming number of replies :( , I fixed this issue by buying and fitting a new inverter - still would like to know the answer though :?
