J'ai précisé depuis le début que gentoo était installé sur un dd externe usb ou il y a déja ubuntu. Le fstab appartient à ubuntu.

Non tu as précisé externe mais pas connecté en usb et j'ai déjà posé la question sans réponse il y a qq posts mais passons -

Bon alors 2 choses me viennent à l'esprit :

- Précise au kernel "rootdelay=10" - usb étant relativement lent il arrive souvent qu'il n'ait pas le temps de detecter avant de monter le fs

- Tu es en AHCI - Je crois avoir lu qu'une option du bios précise si tu prends un mode AHCI ou legacy - As-tu vérifié ?

btw: si tu cherches à booter sur une gentoo en usb pourquoi ne pas nous coller son fstab plutôt :wink:

:roll: ... faudrait avoir un fstab cohérent : /dev/{ROOT;BOOT;SWAP} sont des valeurs génériques que tu dois changer !

J'ai un doute maintenant et j'ai la flemme de vérifier dans les 4 pages mais quand tu as fait l'install... tu as bien monté /proc et "binder" /dev du livecd à chaque fois pour le chroot ?

dsl de la confusion dans l'écriture c'était "a l'install" je voulais simplement dire.

Bon alors corrige le fstab et vérifie que tu ais bien /dev/console et /dev/tty sinon tu peux les recréer dans /mnt/gentoo/dev avec #MAKEDEV generic

Edit : NON ! C'est celui chroot gentoo qui est utile pas celui du livecd ni celui de tes ubuntu "labellisés"
J'ai l'impression que tu te mélange pas mal là :?

Je mets sdb9 à la place de sdb1 etc..? Ensuite pour /dev/console et /dev/tty je les ai bien oui.. Désolé d'être un peu pommé je fais tout pour ne pas l'être..

Le root=/dev/sdb7 en rouge, ça devrait pourtant te mettre sur la voie :p

Allez, un indice :
Sur ton système, /dev/sdb7 est utilisé par /boot et /dev/sdb9 par la racine du système ( root en anglais ... ).

Devinette : lequel des deux dois-tu indiquer au noyau avec l'option root=[...] ? :)

Par ailleurs, préciser ro au noyo est inutile vu que tu as déjà noauto dans ton fstab. Et je n'ai pas souvenir d'avoir jamais utilisé init pour booter sauf avec initng

Félicitations ! Maintenant que les formalités son passées :twisted: tu vas pouvoir apprécier la différence entre tes 2 distribs, surtout au niveau de la flexibilité et de la liberté de choix que t'offre ta Gentoo.

oué enfin... 100 posts pour en arriver là... faut revoir la méthodologie de résolution ; on aurait dû le fixer en 1 page max qd m^ :lol:

Btw : en plus je suis pas vraiment satisfait car il n'a pas fait de mutualisation du /boot (ni de la swap).
Donc Silvering, devoir à la maison pour la semaine prochaine : Consolitation du partitionnement (virer grub de la gentoo, supprimer sdb7 et la swap) - optionnel, tweaking du kernel gentoo - :mrgreen:

Lol ok pas de problème j'ai déjà complètement enlevé grub de gentoo me reste à faire le reste... En fait j'ai un nouveau problème mais je vais créer un nouveau topic car c'est en rapport avec le l'Ethernet..
