Hey.

I have my wireless/pcmcia setup working fine, but I get the following warning when PCMCIA starts up:

Code:
cardmgr: watching 3 sockets
cardmgr: starting, version is 3.2.4
cardmgr: socket 2: Intersil PRISM2 11Mbps Wireless Adapter
cardmgr: executing: 'modprobe orinoco_cs'
cardmgr: executing: './network start eth1'
cardmgr: + * WARNING:  "net.eth1" has already been started.

So I guess my real question is this: how does net.eth1 (the wireless adapter) get started? It's not part any runlevel, and pcmcia_cs complains (as above) when cardmgr tries to start it.

Many thanks.

To fix any weird problem, just post about it on the forums. The problem has fixed itself. I'd love to tell everybody what I did for posterity, but I really have no idea...

this is ticking me off...

i get the warning on boot, then an error on shutdowns/reboots b/c net.eth0 has already been started and net.eth0 is not running (respectively)....

i have hotplug and pcmcia-cs installed...

could it be that they both are trying to init net.eth0 ???
