[SOLVED] Lxpanel Application Launcher cannot add shortcuts

I was about to post question, but as I solved the problem I'll just drop the answer in here instead.

Problem :
Right click LX's 'Application Launch Bar' and select "'Application Launch Bar' Settings"
Go to the application you want to add, in my case Mozilla Firefox, and find it missing. It's in the start menu, but doesn't appear here.

Solution:
This is what worked for me.
Go to /usr/share/applications
Edit the applications .desktop file. For me that was firefox.desktop
I added the following line
