How does it work? Anyone using it with the Authentec aes2501 in a Lenovo N200?
Does it build on a 4.1.2 gcc?
Are there any docs about using it to login through gdm?
Thanks ;] |

I added this to my package.keyword:
Code: | <=app-misc/fprint_demo-0.4 ~amd64
<=media-libs/libfprint-0.0.6 ~amd64
<=sys-auth/pam_fprint-0.2 ~amd64 |
And I attempted:
Code: | nomad szczerb # emerge -va pam_fprint fprint_demo |
Which pulled in the libfprint-0.0.6 to be built first.
And that's how the libfprint behaved:
Code: | make all-recursive
make[1]: Wejście do katalogu `/var/tmp/portage/media-libs/libfprint-0.0.6/work/libfprint-0.0.6'
Making all in libfprint

Does it need some libraries in versions higher than amd64 stable, but does not have such a dependency? |

You need gcc from ~arch. _________________ ncmpcpp - featureful ncurses based MPD client inspired by ncmpc |

I guess I'll wait then - an unstable gcc is a bit too much of a risk on a laptop I use every day, all day.
Thanks for the help though |

Where did you get this ebuild from ?
It does not seems to be in portage
Code: |
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "fprint_demo".

| It's from the wschlich-testing overlay. See title.
Does not work for me and my asus M50VM-b2. Code: | lsusb -v

Both libfprint-0.0.5 and 0.0.6 work on AuthenTec AES2501 though you do need ~gcc for 0.0.6 |

sorry for bringing that topic back but i got an update and a question about a problem.
i used the overlay and the first thing was that the git-repos are not anymore reachable at the desired url, they went to github.com/dsd/<package-name> so i changed the ebuilds and updated the git source repos and everythink downloaded but than come the new error:
Code: |
***** aclocal *****
***** PWD: /var/tmp/portage/media-libs/libfprint-9999/work/libfprint-9999
***** aclocal -I m4
aclocal-1.10: couldn't open directory `m4': No such file or directory
|
so i was wondering how to fix this and how to inform the author of this overlay that he should update the ebuild files? also there seems that libusb v1 hits the official portage and i was think if the libusb-9999 from fprint is still needed? |
