Is there no kernel having xfs support and the mppe/openssl patches? the *-gentoo* kernel does have mppe but not xfs, the *-xfs* kernel vice versa. I have set up a server with xfs and need mppe/pptp to enable vpn-clients using the default windows-vpn - and I cannot change the filesystem now to anything else!
Can anyone point me to an appropriate kernel or has got an idea how to create one?

Ok, you may have found a solution, but I ran into a similar problem trying to connect through my universities' vpn. There is a patch for 2.4.* kernels, which you possibly could apply to xfs sources to get both. You can find it here:

Just download the patch for the appropriate kernel version and I hope you don't have any problems. |
