| Hi! I have a question for you. I'm testing KDE4.1 but I'm noticing something very strange. Performance is abosolutely horrible here, but I know this is quite common. I can't understand why, anyway, if I open any KDE4 app like the control center, then I close it and reopen it, I still have to wait many seconds before the control center is loaded... isn't this strange? Shouldn't everything be already in RAM? Is it possible I did something wrong compiling qt or KDE4 sources? Thanks! |

Hi, can you post your lspci and also your emerge --info.
I know that there was a bug with some video card, but I think that the problem was some a long time ago.
What overlay are you using right now ? |

| The only thing that I see, is that you use an old profile. You should use the 2008.0/desktop. |
