I've done a manual installation of mailman 2.1.2 from tar. When I try to run "mailmanctl start" I get an error that it can't find the Python moduled named paths. Yet the README.linux mailman doc says this error would be typical if running, say, Debian and you hadn't installed python-dev - that an install of python from source shouldn't present this problem. Is Gentoo's python install less than a full source install? Is the paths module someplace nonstandard, or in another ebuild that has to be emerged?

Thanks!

Note: mailmanctl start will run if run from the dir mailman is installed in's bin dir - the error occurs when it's run from /etc/init.d, which is where mailman's docs advise running it from.
