After my last emerge x isn't starting.
The log file indicates that the problem seems to be xorg can't find evdev. The emerge was of about 70 ebuilds but looking at the list there doesn't seem to be anything xorg related.
Could the problem be related to the linux link in /etc/src pointing at a different set of sources than the running kernel (changed the link but didn't get round to the kernel compile)?
Has any one any pointers on what to look at to resolve this?

Can you post yout Xorg.0.log? Also try remerging xf86-input-evdev and, if that doesn't solve it, xorg-server. I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the kernel. |

In order for xf86-input-evdev to actually work, you need this enabled in your kernel too.
Code: | Device Drivers --->
Input device support --->
<*> Event interface |
