Hello everybody

I'm new with Gentoo,
after few manips, I've broken my python and emerge is KO with this message:
Code:
/usr/bin/emerge: /usr/bin/python: bad interpreter

I have an AMD64, have installed Gentoo AMD64 with the minimal CD ... and two installs of python (before the problem)
- version 2.4.4-r13
- and version 2.5.2-r5

Because, I have a problem with pygtk-2.12.0,
I do an emerge -C python-2.5.2-r5 and get the previous message with emerge.

I tried different method given on these threads, but all failed
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-4267052.html#4267052
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-27900.html#27900
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-5746-highlight-unmerged+python.html
or I mistaken??

So, I have downloaded this package:
http://tinderbox.x86.dev.gentoo.org/default-linux/amd64/python-2.4.4-r13.tbz2

but how can I run ./configure with it, because there only two directories in this package and no configure file?

I try also with http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4.4/Python-2.4.4.tar.bz2, but unfortunately, error when I run "make".

PS: I run ./configure with this:
–prefix=/usr –host=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu –mandir=/usr/share/man –infodir=/usr/share/info –datadir=/usr/share –sysconfdir=/etc –localstatedir=/var/lib –with-fpectl –enable-shared –infodir=${prefix}/share/info –mandir=${prefix}/share/man –with-libc= –enable-unicode=ucs4 –with-threads –build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu

Anybody can help me: I can make nothing without emerge, env-update, etc...

Thanks for all! :D

simply untar that tarball: tar -jxvf python-2.4.4-r13.tbz2 -C /
next you emerge python again: emerge -1 python
