When I run emerge mozilla-firefox, after having masked Firefox 2,it complains by saying "www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.0-r1 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword)" I do not know how to get around this masking, and so am for the moment running Firefox 2. I would like to get Firefox 3 installed. How do I unmask this program? I have tried entering www-client/mozilla-firefox, www-client/mozilla-firefox ~amd64, and by doing the previous but adding in the version. I put all of this into /etc/portage/portage.keywords and portage.unmask and it doesn't work. |

there is in portage a nice little soft that does it :
app-portage/autounmask
it is not beautiful in your files as it add too much comments, but you can use it for difficult cases and clean your files after that _________________ reup

Should be /etc/portage/package.keywords and package.unmask |
