Worked earlier today, I have a ton of files not working now can't find any relevant info in the forum pertaining to this issue either. Any help appreciated.

I think that you may have bigger problems...

Try coping one of the files you can't play to a different partition. What happens? If it works without errors, try playing the copy.

Copyed and tried the file on my boot partition no change, checked the filesizes after that and as you said other or bigger problems the filesizes on 20 or so files was 0.

So either I did something stupid or I don't know.

Sounds like a filesystem didn't get properly unmounted at shutdown or something like that.
