.config for ESX 3.5

Could someone post their working kernel config and version for a kernel that boots on VMWARE ESX 3.5?

I have tried the recommended settings for ESX on the Gentoo Wiki with no joy.

Used a vanilla kernel and this time the Gentoo Wiki How To worked just fine.
