I'm looking for a command line audio player. So far I've found Herrie, mp3blaster, and PyTone. Any others out there that are any good?

MPD with either mpc or ncmpc.
Edit: mplayer can also be used in this fashion. |

OK, I'm trying ncmpc. I followed the MPD howto, but when I start up ncmpc, I don't see any tracks. I went to 'browse', and there's nothing there either. I built the MPD database and started MPD as well. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Edit: When I try mpc, I get this error: Code: | MPD_HOST and/or MPD_PORT environment variables are not set
error: problems getting a response from "localhost" on port 6600 : Connection refused |
I tried adding variables to make.conf, like it said in the howto, but that didn't help.
Edit: I fixed it. I had to start mpd as a user service, rather than as a system service. Instead of running Code: | /etc/init.d/mpd start | as root, I just ran using my account.

OK, I'll try those next if I don't like ncmpc.
