mplayer is not running round

Hello on my 12 Inch G4 700Mhz PowerBook I was working with an half year old installation mplayer takes 10% CPU Load , and was working very well.
Now I have made a reinstallation, and I experience Problems with mpalyer. I have tried the protage mplayer and the genuine mplayer , both compiles without any errors. But when I trie to play a movie it 100% CPU load, it flickers and after some seconds it hangs.
It is not possible to watch videos with this tool...
Any Ideas, what solves the problem? below is emerge --info

Hi Randolf,

could you please check which video driver is currently used in mplayer? Perhaps something switched it back to sw-rendered mode which would explain the 100% CPU load.
