Greetings,

I'm building my own stage3 using catalyst, I need generic x86 stage3.
I build portage snapshot (catalyst -s 22032008) and stage1-x86-22032008 (catalyst -f /path/to/mystage1.spec > /path/to/logstage1-x86) without problems.
stage2-x86-22032008.tar.bz2 (catalyst -f /path/to/mystage2.spec > /path/to/logstage2-x86) apparently gives no errors, but its size is very strange, about 40 MB instead of the standard 50 MB (more or less).
The following command (catalyst -f /path/to/mystage3.spec > /path/to/logstage3-x86) always gives errors and stage3-x86 is not created.

Here the errors (final part of logstage3-x86):

Code:

I use catalyst 2.0.5, the PC is an IBM ThinkPad T23 with a Pentium 3 Mobile CPU.

Temporary directories in /usr/tmp/catalyst are created for stage3, but the .tar.bz2 file is not.

I also tried cflags: -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -mtune=i486 (cxxflags=cflags), same results; never modified the standard /etc/catalyst/catalyst.conf file.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
