I have just done an emerge sync, emerge -u system, emerge -u world.
Amongst other things glibc was updated to 2.3.2. I'm not sure if this is related.
Now qmail-send does not start correctly, the log file says
Code: | alert: cannot start: unable to read controls |
I have not yet tried to re emerge qmail. Do I need to update to qmail-1.0.3-r10 to fix this or is there a simpler solution?
The /var/qmail/control directory exists and all files appear to be present. |

Thanks for the help. For anyone else who may have this problem I did
Code: | ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -u qmail
|
and followed the ebuild instructions. qmail now appears to be working correctly again.
Just out of curiosity does anyone know what caused this. Did the recompile/installation of qmail fix something or is there something in the r10 ebuild that solved this? |
