Hello,
I installed today the new update on baselayout-2.0 and openrc and noticed immediately the /etc/conf.d/rc and is now a part of /etc/rc.conf - thats great! One centralized configuration-file :D

But I have a small problem, usually I work only with the terminal not with X11. If necessary I start X11 via "startx" what load Gnome by default is the XSESSION var was set correctly. But now I am missing this var?!

Can anybody help me?
Thanks

Try to set it in /etc/env.d/<your_custom_file>.

Thanks. Good Idea!
The other solution should be an alias >> XSESSION="Gnome" startx

I hope it will return :)

According to the migration guide the XSESSION should be in the /etc/env.d/90xsession file (create it, when it's not there). Works perfectly for me.

Code:

moros@dna-laptop ~ $ cat /etc/env.d/90xsession
XSESSION="Gnome"

In fact, the configuration are just somewhere else inside the new baselayout.

dont forget to env-update after that!

also you can create your per user configuration using ~/.xinitrc file
