Hello-

I have installed Gentoo on a Gateway 9150, one issue I am having is with the floppy drive.. during boot up its showing the LS-120 drive as being on hdd. I can mount the floopy using:

mount /dev/hdd /mnt/floppy

ONLY if during bootup I have a disk inserted into the drive, otherwise it will not mount. I have seen a post that had almost the exact problem, but it doesnt show a reslove. I have played with the fstab and even tried MAKEDEV as mentioned here, that just complains about:

.devfsd presence implies active DevFS.

Any ideas as to where to look next?

RESOLVE:
I must of missed it on my initial search but I found a solution here.
