I am trying to configure my Audigy 2, the modules load and eveything seems to work fine but I get no sound. I am currently using the emu10k1 module in the kernel. I have enabled OSS emulation and I have emerged emu10k1. This loads fine and I can open up XMMS and it will show me that something is playing but I hear no sound.

I have edited my emu10k1.conf file it looks as such.

Code:

CARD_TYPE="audigy"
CARD_IS_5_1=yes
USE_DIGITAL_OUTPUT=no
ENABLE_TONE_CONTROL=yes
AC3PASSTHROUGH=yes
ENABLE_LIVEDRIVE_IR=no
INVERT_REAR=no
MULTICHANNEL=yes
ROUTE_ALL_TO_SUB=no
ANALOG_FRONT_BOOST=yes
SURROUND=yes
PROLOGIC=no
ENABLE_CD_Spdif=yes
ENABLE_OPTICAL_SPDIF=no '
ENABLE_LINE2_MIC2=no
ENABLE_RCA_SPDIF=no

When I run "esd" at the command prompt I get no sound yet again. I know my speakers are setup properly because when I boot into windows I get sound no problem. I am looking for any advice I have tried all I know.

my lsmod looks as such.

Module Size Used by Not tainted
emu10k1 79880 1

Thanks In Advance,

Simon

here is what I did To Solve this little diddy of a problem.

Code:

emerge unmerge emu10k1

emerge /usr/portage/media-sound/emu10k1-cvs/emu10k1-cvs-16042003.ebuild

I ended the emu10k1 mod that was running reloaded the new emu10k1-cvs mod and All is right with the world once again.

I had been playing with the emu10k1 drvers with my audigy for over a week before I posted. I finally got annoyed and decided to try the Cvs drivers. They seem to have resolved whatever issue I was having.
