As the title says I jsut finished a new gentoo install on my hardware and during the boot phase I believe I missed a kernel option but I can't for the life of me figure out what. during boot it says:
Code: |
udevd[1159]: init_udevd_socket: error getting socket: Address family not supported byu protocol
error initializing udevd socket
udevd[1159]: main: error initializing udevd socket
|
The system then drops me to a maintenance shell because my root drive isn't under /dev at all. What did I miss or alternatively how do I fix this?[/code] |

See thread udevd problem (solved) _________________ Gentoo is the stick-shift of Linux.
You work it manually, it has somewhat better performance, but it's really for the fun of it. |
