"!!! Error: the gnome-base/gnome-session package conflicts with this package and both can't be installed on the same system together."
("this package" beeing gnome-audio)
But when trying to play a sound in gnome settings it says
"The sound file for this event does not exist.
You may want to install the gnome-audio package
for a set of default sounds."
What to do? |

I have the same, I decided to remove all gnome 1.4 packages...
Now I can't install gnome-audio again, which is also needed by gnome2.
I don't really see why gnome-audio should depend on gnome-core, it's all just a bunch of wav files. |

Well there should a dependency because installuing just the wav files makes no sense. But the dependencies should check wheter gnome 1.4 OR gnome 2.0 is installed. _________________ Do you want your posessions identified? [ynq] (n) |

Ok, so I just uncommented the DEPENDS line in the ebuild file. Thx.
Hmm they suck anyway, that wasn't worth it. |
