Ho ricompilato il kernel con le opzioni per il framebuffer prese dalla guida di gentoo:

a parte "Use splash screen instead of boot logo" perché nn c'é in questo kernel.
Il framebuffer cmq nn funziona, ho guardato in /dev/fb e non ho nessun device.
Perché, mi chiedo perché?

Attento a seguire quella guida, in un punto c'è specificato che è stata scritta esclusivamente per kernel 2.4.20, quindi se usi una diversa versione devi "smanettarci" un po' di tua iniziativa.
La voce che manca dovrebbe mancare perchè non è stata applicata la patch per il bootsplash.
Infine per il framebuffer sei sicuro di averlo abilitato? |

Da quello che ho capito se io compilo il kernel con quelle opzioni il framebuffer c'é di default (forse mi sbaglio).
Se mi sbaglio illuminami xché nn so dove sbattere il testone

No, non ti sbagli, dovrebbero bastare quelle opzioni in teoria... cosa ti dice dmseg/console/ e-tutto-ciò-che-può-servire? |

Indendevo l'output di dmesg, errori vari o qualsiasi messaggio potesse servire (credo solo dmesg in questo caso). Hai provato (idea stupida) a passare il parametro vga="numero-corrispondente-alla-tua-risoluzione-preferita" al kernel quando avvii (aka inserito in lilo/grub)?
A me parte anche senza, la butto proprio lì per disperazione  |
