Using firefox 3 beta 3 from the mozilla layman overlay, does anybody else notice a relatively high cpu usage while idle?

While sitting idle viewing a page xulrunner-bin seems to be using about 6% cpu...always.


Also, it seems like the javascript on slashdot, especially when viewing comments seems to drive the CPU usage up. High enough that it really seem to affect my battery life. Anybody else notice this?
edit - using slashdots "new" discussion system, that is. The old one seems fine

May be related to this, though I'm not familiar enough with firefox's architecture to do more than guess wildly:

a new profile fixed javascript on slashdot, but xulrunner-bin still takes up ~6% cpu while idle

any ideas?
