Hm... for some reason my optical mouse is not lighting up so I assume the usb mouse support wasn't compiled in. I checked my selections for my kernel I have usb compiled in. What else do I need to do to have mouse support? |

HID input layer support should make it work. Its in the usb section. |

I following the instructions and my mouse now lights up but when I do:
cat /dev/mouse
nothing happens |
