Come e` possibile che su questa partizione con reiserfs ( kernel 2.4.20-gentoo-r5 )
/dev/rd/disc0/part7 11880064 4936312 6943752 42% /home
non ci stia tutto il contenuto di quest'altra partizione con ext3 ( kernel 2.4.20-18.8 )
/dev/hdg2 9424300 6493064 2452500 73% /home
La prima e` una gentoo la seconda una RH8 ... voglio cambiare sistema ma se non riesco a farci stare tutta la roba dei miei utenti non so come fare...

1a idea: la /home ha montato dentro un altro file system. Posta il comando mount della redhat.
2a idea: reiserfs e' ottimo per piccoli files, ma inizia a sprecare se ci sono grandi files. Se monti la partizione in ext3 riesci a spostare il contenuto? _________________ Enjoy your freedom.

AFAIK reiserfs con i file grossi ha problemi di prestazioni più che altro. I problemi di spreco di spazio li ha con i file piccoli se è attiva l'opzione 'notail', ma credo sia un problema comune a tutti i fs più o meno. _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |
